Mark Zimmer purchased A-1 Rocket in 1989 as a portable restroom company in Amarillo, Texas. From hard work and customer service the business began to grow and add more equipment and employees. Soon after, the company began to offer temporary construction fencing to accompany the portable restrooms.
After graduating from Texas A&M University, Mark’s son, Ryan, joined the A-1 Rocket team. With the help of his father, Ryan was able to quickly expand A-1 Rocket into other services and areas:
As the company began to grow, A-1 Rocket added storage containers and jobsite offices to the fleet in 2009. Moving forward A-1 Rocket acquired American Portable Storage in 2010 and Scott Box in 2011. Additionally, A-1 Rocket was able to begin offering roll off dumpster services by adding Max Waste Management in 2017. A-1 Rocket now specializes in full site services for the construction industry: portable restrooms, temporary fencings, roll off dumpsters, storage containers, and jobsite offices.
The A-1 Rocket family has been very blessed to expand operations and been recognized by Texas A&M’s Aggie 100 program in 2013, 2014, and 2019.
A-1 Rocket also specializes in rentals for special events, weddings, and concerts. The company runs a VIP fleet: portable restrooms and temporary fencing specially earmarked for the weekend events.
